Precious Gems
5 years and under
The first dance level will cover the basics of each style as well as teach class etiquette and positive social interaction!
Dress code for these classes is as follows:
Girls: Leotard/unitard or leggings with a shirt. Barefoot (Movers & Groovers, Tiny Tumblers) or jazz/ballet shoes (Ballet & Boogie) Hair out of face in bun or ponytail
Boys: Well-fitting shirt (preferably white dance shirt) and black leggings or pants. No overly loose clothing.
Movers & Groovers: 18 months to 3-year-old dancers will learn independence and basic dance skills through movement and song!
Tiny Tumbling: The youngest level of tumbling combines tumbling basics and jazz movements in a fast-paced and energetic class!
Pre-Ballet: Learn the basics of ballet in this upbeat and energetic class! We learn classroom skills, and ballet skills and have so much fun! *Purple or Black leotards are required for pre-ballet*
Ballet
Leveled Ballet Technique
Ballet is the root of many dance styles and is an important part of any dancers training.
Dress code for these classes is as follows:
Girls: Leotard to match level and pink/nude tights. Ballet tights replace all normal undergarments. Shoes should be canvas or leather and well fitted. Hair should be pulled back into a bun.
Boys: Shirt in matching level color or white and black fitted pants. White socks and black ballet flats.
Leotards & Shirts should match class level listed below:
Pre-Ballet: Purple or black leotard
Ballet 1: Pink Leotard
Ballet 2: Lavender Leotard
Ballet 3: Light Blue Leotard
Ballet 4: Royal Blue Leotard
Ballet 5: Black Leotard
Ballet 6: Black Leotard
** Shirts can be white if dancer prefers**
Pre-Ballet: Learn the basics of ballet in this upbeat and energetic class built for ages 3 to 5! We learn classroom skills, ballet skills and have so much fun! Purple or black leotards are required.
Ballet 1: The first level of ballet instruction offered to students 6 years and over. Pre-Ballet is recommended prior to enrollment.
Pink leotards are required.
Ballet 2: The second level of ballet instruction offered to student 8 years and over. Level 1 or teacher approval is required prior to enrollment. Purple leotards are required.
Ballet 3: The third level of ballet instruction offered to student 10 years and over. Level 2 or teacher approval is required prior to enrollment. Light blue leotards are required.
Ballet 4: The fourth level of ballet instruction offered to student 12 years and over. Level 3 or teacher approval is required prior to enrollment. Royal blue leotards are required.
Ballet 5: The fifth level of ballet instruction offered to student 14 years and over. Level 4 is required prior to enrollment.
Black leotards are required.
Ballet 6: The sixth level of ballet instruction offered to our most advanced ballet students. Level 5 is required prior to enrollment.
Black leotards are required.
Beginning Teen Dance: This class is built for teens who want to begin dancing. Founded in the basics, students will learn techniques and skills to help them advance their dancing.
Pointe: This very strenuous form of ballet is not required or expected at any age, however, students are not eligible before 13 years old and will need teacher assistance and possibly a doctor's authorization before enrollment.
Lyrical
Emerald, Diamond, & Amethyst
Lyrical is a beautiful and relaxed form of movement. Based in Ballet, it combines technique, style and grace in a beautiful dance.
Dress code for this course is as follows:
All: Form fitting t-shirt, tank top or leotard with leggings or tights. Half-sole dance shoes or clean bare feet are acceptable. Jeans or outside shoes are not allowed. Hair needs to be pulled away from face.
Lyrical Emerald: This class is for ages 6 and up and will teach the basics of lyrical movement. No prerequisites are required.
Lyrical Diamond: This is a second level class course for lyrical students. This class is appropriate for older beginning students as well as those who have progressed through emerald technique.
Lyrical Amethyst: This is our most advanced course for students. This class is designed for students with previous lyrical experience and will challenge their skills and abilities as well as teach a variety of styles including more contemporary and modern movement.
Jazz
Emerald, Diamond, & Amethyst
Jazz is a great choice for students looking for structure and fun technique. Join us for an upbeat and progressive training in this dynamic style!
Dress code for this course is as follows:
All: Form fitting t-shirt, tank top or leotard with leggings or tights. Jazz shoes in black are preferred. Jeans or outside shoes are not allowed. Hair needs to be pulled away from face.
Jazz Emerald: This class is for ages 6 and up and will teach the basics of jazz movement. No prerequisites are required.
Jazz Diamond: The second level course for jazz students. This class is appropriate for older beginning students and those who have completed Emerald level curriculum.
Jazz Amethyst: This is our most advanced course for students. This class is appropriate for advanced dancers and will challenge and develop their technique.
Acrobatic Tumbling
Emerald, Diamond, & Amethyst
Rising Heights Dance is excited to offer quality dance acrobatic tumbling through our Acrobatic Arts level 1 certified instructors. Join us for a safe and progressing course exploring the limits of flexibility and strength.
Dress code for this course is as follows:
All: Form fitting t-shirt, tank top or leotard with leggings or tights. Half-sole shoes or clean bare feet are allowed. Jeans or outside shoes are not allowed. Hair needs to be pulled away from face.
Tumbling Emerald: This class is for ages 6 and up. Tiny Tumblers is recommended prior to enrollment.
Tumbling Diamond: Students should be able to perform a bridge from laying down as well as know how to kick to a handstand. Skill completion will be essential to progress in this style of movement.
Tumbling Amethyst: Students need teacher approval to move to this course. Skill completion will be essential to progress in this style of movement.
Musical Theater
Emerald, Diamond, & Amethyst
Musical Theater is a great way to expand your students' horizons! Our triple-threat training includes the basics of jazz dancing, vocal training, and acting skills!
Dress code for this course is as follows:
All: Form-fitting t-shirt, tank top, or leotard with leggings or tights. Jazz shoes in black are preferred. Jeans or outside shoes are not allowed. Hair needs to be pulled away from the face.
Musical Theater Emerald: Students ages 6-10 are welcome in this course at all levels!
Musical Theater Diamond: Students ages 11+ are welcome in this course at all levels!
Musical Theater Amethyst: Students who have taken previous levels of Musical Theater may be invited to this advanced level of performing class. Generally, this class is for teenagers and other experienced students!
Tap
Emerald & Diamond
Join us to learn the basics of this engaging style and get your toes tapping in this fun and upbeat class as we learn rhythm and tap technique!
Dress code for this course is as follows:
All: comfortable shirt (tank top or t-shirt), leggings or stretchy pants (no jeans) and black tap shoes!
Tap Emerald: This class is for ages 6 and up and will teach the basic tap skills. No prerequisites are required.
Tap Diamond: This class is for ages 8+ or students who have competed emerald tap. This class will teach basics and progress technique throughout the course!
Hip Hop Basics
Emerald, Diamond, & Amethyst
This new class is the perfect introduction to hip hop dancing! Focused on teaching the basic foundation of hip hop technique!
Dress code for this course is as follows:
All: comfortable shirt (tank top or t-shirt), leggings or stretchy pants, and barefeet or clean sneakers (specifically for dance only).
Jeans or outside shoes are not allowed. Hair needs to be pulled away from face.
Hip Hop Basics Emerald: Students ages 6-10 are welcome in this course at all levels!
Hip Hop Basics Diamond: Students ages 11+ are welcome in this course at all levels!
Hip Hop Basics Amethyst: Students who have taken previous levels of Hip Hop may be invited to this advanced level of class.
Generally, this class is for teenagers and other experienced students!
Competition Teams
By Audition Only
Rising Heights Dance offers the opportunity to attend one convention and two competitions annually, with additional events available. Competition teams also perform in a showcase! Auditions are held in June and are open to all students 6 years and older or by teacher invitation who have at minimum one year of dance experience.
Students will be selected for any of the following teams offered:
Elevation Flow
Altitude Energy
Summit Power
These teams are subject to change and may be assigned differently based on choreographic needs!
All teams are expected to take ballet and their team class and may be asked to take an additional technique course (TLC) depending on team levels.
Competition is a great way to allow students to explore more styles and avenues in the dance world! Students get to see other studios, travel locally and get to expand their horizons!
Adult Classes
ALL LEVELS WELCOME

Adult Dance is open to all levels! Each 6 week session focuses on a new style of dance and is designed to accomodate all levels of movers! Call to find out the style of the session, and check out our schedule tab for registration information! Dress code for this class is comfortable clothing and socks or clean barefeet, unless otherwise specified with the style needs.
Adult Tap is a fun and challenging way to learn tap! Year round this class will help students learn and improve their tap technique through fun and upbeat material! Dress code is comfortable clothes and tap shoes, hair should be pulled away from the face.
